Moo + Boo

The Moo + Boo Story
After working in education for the last 21 years, I am passionate about empowering all people with the knowledge and skills to navigate life. My work in schools has opened my eyes to the suffering that young people encounter every day. Mental health is a huge issue across all age ranges, social classes and gender.
This, combined with my own personal experience of trauma and living my life at 100 mph, led me on a quest to learn the necessary skills to lead a happier, calmer life with more time for self-care. After leaving teaching, retraining as a life coach, driven by a desire to role model a balanced life for my own two children, I embarked on a new journey, a new way of life, which has seen the birth of Moo + Boo.
Aromatherapy + Mindfulness
My new life has been shaped by the therapeutic benefits of essential oils, mindfulness, and the ability to self-coach.
My love of candle making began as a child and throughout the years I have thrived from the therapeutic benefits of aromatherapy, finding candles useful to boost my mood and settle my mind. After embarking on my new ‘mindful’ life, I realised that one of the main times that I stopped thinking, came out of thought, and enjoyed the moment was when I was using my senses to enjoy these fragrances.
Practising mindfulness every day helps me to raise awareness of what I am feeling and sensing in that given moment. I am able to calm my mind and stop thinking about what I should be doing next. I use my senses to enjoy every aspect of life.
Mindfulness + Self Coaching
To self-coach, I check in with my mind and body each day to notice how I am feeling. I am now able to sit with these emotions, process them and then think about what I need to meet my own emotional and physical needs to improve my well-being.
The combination of all three of these practices has hugely improved my overall happiness and well-being, and I have now begun to teach my own children these skills to ensure that they live their happiest lives. This saw the birth of ‘Moo + Boo’. Named after the pet names for my children, ‘Ava Moo’ and ‘Bea Bea Boo’. The life lessons that I hope they learn but ultimately, “Moo + Boo, BE HAPPY”.
